Skin Treatment Using Bath Salt
A simple method of skin treatment is a skin treatment using bath salt. Salt can be used as a compliment to bathing when we shower. Bath salts have long been known for their usefulness. What’s more, when essential oil is mixed with salt it provides a soothing fragrance. Popular fragrances include jasmine, lavender and others.
Bath salts are used to treat fatigue and to remove toxins from the body. Toxins in the body are disposed of through the pores of skin and through sweat. However, these skin treatment methods should not be done by those of you who have hypertension.
Soaking too long in hot water can cause skin wrinkles, but a short soak softens hard skin, making it easier on exfoliate. Bath salts add to the relaxation effects.
Usually a single hand held bath salt dissolved in the bath water is sufficient. It is best if you soak in the bathtub. Sprinkle two to three tablespoons of salt crystals that have been mixed with essential oil into the tub and mix well. Soak for about 20 minutes, then rinse the body with warm water.
Bath salt can also be used when you treat your feet to keep them healthy and beautiful. The trick is:
1. Soak your toes in warm water with salt (it is better to use salt mixed with essential oils or spices). Use an essential oil that will provide a calming fragrance, like lemon grass, ginger, citrus and tea tree oil. These help the feet by eliminating fatigue and preventing the dryig and chapping of the heal.
2. When the heel of the foot is rough and jagged, brush it with a soft brush or scrub with a pumice stone. This helps your feet become clean and fragrant and helps relax tired legs.
3. When you are finished, clean and dry the feet. Use a lotion to suited your skin type. Do this regularly so that you can experience the maximum results.
